Elan

Elans typically stand just under 6 feet tall and weigh in the neighborhood of 180 pounds, with men sometimes taller and heavier than women, but not always.

Elan Traits

— –2 Charisma.

— Aberration (psionic): As aberrations elan are not subject to spells or effects that affect humanoids only, such as charm person or dominate person.

— Medium-size: No special bonuses or penalties due to size.

— Base land speed is 30 feet.

— Naturally Magic: Elan spellcasters gain bonus spells as if the governing ability score were 1 points higher. This benefit does not grant them the ability to cast spells unless they gain that ability through levels in a spellcaster class.

— Special Qualities: Repletion, resilience, and resistance.

Special Qualities

Once per day, an elan can activate one of the following supernatural abilities.

Repletion (Su): By expending 1 use, an elan does not need to eat or drink for 24 hours.

Resilience (Su): As an immediate action, an elan can reduce the damage he is about to take by 2 points for every 1 use spent.

Resistance (Su): As an immediate action, an élan can spend 1 use to gain a +4 racial bonus on saving throws until the beginning of his next turn.

Additionally an elan spellcaster can “lose” a prepared spell or daily spell slot to gain extra uses of these abilities. All of the uses from a “lost” spell must be spent immediately.
